| Well, I made the trip. I had a great time and was really exhilerated for a few weeks afterwards. 4,104 miles in 14 days. Not a bad first ride. I learned a fair amount about riding and road trips some of which I put on the Tips page on this site. Other stuff I learned was of a more personal nature and mostly revolved around how to get over a failed marriage and get on with your life.
I've since got an apartment outside of Boston and am settling in pretty well. I like my new job and Boston is a pretty nice town. I find that much of my spare time is spent thinking of ways to start my own custom Harley shop. That may just be a pipe dream but it's still a good dream. I put the bike away for the winter a few weeks ago and now I'm hording my vacation days for spring and have been nurturing the little voice in the back of my head saying "upgrade, upgrade make it a 1200, upgrade, upgrade, you can do it...". I plan on doing the conversion probably next fall once the weather has turned and I've got a garage to work in. Right now I'm saving my pennies for a house (with a garage) and the conversion kit.

I may update this site further as I get more into riding this spring or if I shoot some more photos I'm proud of I may add a photo section just to show off. If I could make a living doing nothing but driving my Harley around and taking pictures I'd be there in a heartbeat. I hope you enjoyed reading this and please sign my guestbook. Feel free to drop me a line if you'd like.

 Take care,

 Jon
